just had a bunch of pics posted up on the fly bikes web page.
Go check them out at www.flybikesbmx.com
. Buddy also has the new pic on our home page. The pic was
taken during our trip to Interbike and was shot by fellow
Empire rider Tyrone Bradley. The Interbike leg of the trip
has been posted and you can link to it from the home page,
so go check it out. We are busy with the Austin leg and will
post that shortly. Wile
you wait for the Austin leg, here is a pic of Buddy and Tyrone
throwing down some "brother love" on the deck of
the T-1 ramp.

The
Empire team are doing a tour with Mike
Aitken (Odyssey), Matt Beringer (Odyssey), Sean Walters (Terrible
One), and Ruben Alcantara (Terrible One).
Team riders Jimmy Reynolds, and Tyrone Bradley are going to
be doing a mini SA tour of KZN and Johannesburg the the above
mentioned riders. The guys are flying into Durban later this
week where they will ride all the spots in KZN before heading
up to JHB for the LG extreme Xpo on the 4th-6th of November.
If
you want to meet the pros then make sure you get yourself
to the LG extreme show. There is going to be a dirt and street
comp at the event, and all the pros will be in attendance.
Some of South Africa's top riders will also be in attendance
competing in both competitions. We will keep you updated with
pics from the tour as it unfolds so keep checking back for
more details.
If
you want to know exactly what events are happening at what
times during the LG extreme Xpo, then click on the events
page in the left margin to see a full run down of what's happening.

Greg
Illingworth sent us an update on his UK trip. Brad
and Greg have spent the last 3 weeks in the UK with Fraser
Byrne of www.stfmedia.net
and they have been riding a bunch of spots around the UK.
Brads arm is still giving him a lot of trouble but Greg has
been riding a lot, and even competed in the Backyard Jam this
past weekend. Both guys are having an awesome time and should
be back home later this week.

The
latest shipment from Odyssey is on the way. These
are some of the new items that are coming and they should
be in stores by the end of the month. If you want to get your
hands on any of these items give your local bike shop a call.

These
are the new Gary Young signature Bars. These are
7.5 High which puts them right in between the Civilian Regulars
(7.75) and the Civilian Lows (7.25). They are also a little
narrower at 24" wide. As with all Odyssey bars these
are made of 41 Thermal and are guaranteed for life.

We
also have the new M2 levers and cables coming. This
is Odysseys new gyro cable / lever combination and it works
off a dual cable that runs directly into the lever. By doing
this they have been able to eliminate the join that you find
in the center of most upper gyro cables, and as a result it
pulls a lot smoother and also weighs much less. The M2 lever
works with both M2 cables and regular cables so it is also
very versatile. We only have a few of these lever/cable combos
coming in this order so if you are interested contact your
local store and get them to pre order for you.

New
Kelly Green Linear cables. The hugely popular linear
cable is now available in the latest limited colour "Kelly
Green". As with the glow in the dark version these are
a one off run so once they are sold out they are gone for
good. Get them while you can!

New
Odyssey rim strips. How many riders out there are
still using insulation tape, rubber strips, or even stickers!
to line their rims... Now you can use the real thing and forget
all the other shady options. these come in sets of 2 and will
fit on any 20" BMX rim.

So
we all made it back in one piece. The trip was awesome
and I think its pretty safe to say that we all had a really
good time. I just want to start out by saying a huge THANK
YOU to our good friend Joe Rich. Joe really went out of his
way to make us feel at home during our stay and we owe him
big time! Thank you so much for all that you did for us! We
are busy putting an article together on the trip and it should
be posted in the next day or so. There will be plenty of pics
and a full story so come back to check that out. In the mean
time here is a pic of us at the T-1 ramp. As you can see our
stowaway on the trip was Tyrone Bradley. Tyrone decided to
come with literally a few days before we left, and he got
his Visa 48 hours before the plane took off so it was really
tight. it was awesome having him come along and we are so
stoked he could make it.
Blunt
mag are also running a full story on the trip in
their next issue so make sure you buy a copy of that. It should
go on sale around November 7th. There will be a bunch of pics
from the trip in there so make sure you pick it up at your
local news stand.

We
have however finished the interbike page so click on the above
link to check it out. All of our brands released some amazing
new products at the show this year so make sure you check
them out. 2006 is going to be packed with innovative and new
products all available through Empire.

If you checked the news last month you would remember
we said that we were purchasing a new piece of equipment..
Well here it is. Empire now has a 3CCD video camera, and as
you would imagine this means that the first "Empire Video"
is now in the works. We are really excited about this project
and we cant wait to get it off the ground. We haven't set
a time frame for the video but it wont be released any time
soon. Realistically speaking you will probably see it released
some time in the second half of next year. We will keep you
posted on our progress though.

We
have just had the new FBM order arrive. There are
a bunch of new soft goods in this lot, including 3 new T-shirts,2
new DVD's, new fatigue hats, CB4KS, PW moto frames, belt buckles,
beer coozies and more. All these products are flying out the
door so give your local bike store a cal land see if they
have what you are looking for. The 2 new DVD's are awesome
and the 10 year anniversary DVD is a must for any FBM fan.
