WCBMX
x Sonskate comp:
The
guys from Sonskate are having a comp at the Stellenbosch
park this weekend.
West Coast BMX are helping them out with the event,
and we sent down a bunch of prizes earlier this week
for them to hand out so make sure you go through and
support the comp. The BMX event is on Saturday from
1-5pm (NOT 2-6pm as stated on the flyer) so get there
early to make sure you can register. The guys are
also selling all weekend passes to the park so you
can get plenty of riding done.
All
in all it sounds like its going to be a fun event
so make sure you check it out.

Buddy
and Matt:
Buddy
sent us another update on his trip. This time its
from his weekend at the NASS event in the UK. Unfortunately
due to some announcement misunderstandings Buddy missed
his runs and never got to ride in the comp, but he
said it was a great weekend none the less. He rode
a bunch in practice and said the park and the dirt
setups were a lot of fun. Here are some pics he sent
us from the weekend.

Matt
also sent us an update from his weekends riding in
J-bay. Him and a some of the other PE locals hit up
the J-bay park and matt sent us these snaps of him
riding. He also recently rebuilt his bike with some
fresh wheels and other parts. You will also notice
the new red fly rims on his bike... Look for a bike
check soon.

Buddy
in Europe:
Buddy
just sent us a mail to let us know what he is up to
on his European trip. He is currently in the UK doing
the tourist thing before he rides in the Empire of
Dirt and the Nass events. After that he is heading
to Spain and the to Germany for the Masters event
as well. He says its still pretty cold over there
even though its spring, and sent us some snaps of
his sight seeing in London. We wish Buddy all the
best during his travels, and will keep you posted
on Buddy's news as he updates us.

Colin
Update:
It
seems like Colin has been up in JHB on a semi permanent
basis lately, and he has been putting his time here
to good use! Most days he has been riding with Greg,
and whenever he gets a chance Tyrone has been shooting
pics of what goes down. The guys have been riding
street as well as all the parks, and with the potential
of some new trails popping up in the northern suburbs
it looks like Colin might never leave. Here are a
few shots that Tyrone sent us of the riding that has
been happening over the last few weeks.

Volkswagens:

You
might be asking yourself what a post about cars is
doing on the site? Well a bunch of the crew and our
friends are into VW's, and when they not riding bikes
they can be found working on their cars and doing
stuff with the VW club. This past weekend the club
held a fund raiser show for one of the members who
was recently in hospital, and Brad volunteered to
do a box jump demo at the show to add some entertainment.
Brad, Greg, Stuart, Tyrone, and Colin all rode in
the demos and here are a few pics from what went down.

The
boys have done good:
The
team have been getting out there over the last month
or so and it definitely shows! Brendon Jacobs got
a full page pic in the May issue of Blunt right alongside
the BMX buyers guide. Brendon keeps a pretty low profile
most of the time but it's pics like this that prove
he is still killing it.

Colin
Loudon has also got a full page pic in the contents
page of this months issue with a cranked lookback
on the green ramp.

The
Gate crash tour also received a ton of coverage in
the current issue with 8 pages of pics and words from
the trip. There are so many dope pics in this feature
all snapped by Tyrone Bradley and Wayne Reiche. You
can always count on those two to produce the goods
behind the lens! Make sure you pick up this issue
as it is a real belter!

Speaking
of Tyrone he just sent through a new bike check for
you to check out. Check back for that as we will be
posing it up in the next day or so. His new United
Squad is looking dialed!
We
also heard today that Buddy Chellan has been awarded
a spot in this years Red Bull Empire of Dirt event
in the UK. Buddy will be heading out in the next few
days and we wish him all the best. With Style like
this you can be sure he will be ripping up those jumps
with the best of them.

The
new Odyssey Shipment has just landed and there are
tons of new items in this lot. First up we have two
new DVD's in stock including the long awaited Electronical
DVD... This video is off the hook! Amazing riding,
filming, and editing all rolled into one. The DVD
is a 2 disc set and includes a bonus DVD with tons
of extras including both of Odysseys previous videos
and an awesome edit of their South African trip. it
there is one DVD you buy this year Electronical has
to be it.

The
new Aaron Ross signature grips are also here and feel
super good. these have a super soft compound and a
medium thickness to them so should suit most people.
If you are shopping for new grips make sure you check
these out.

We
also have our 2 top selling bars back in stock. Lumberjacks
and Triumphs are here and will be shipping to stores
this week.

Odysseys
V3 cassette hubs are also here and are available in
36 and 48 hole. These hubs come with a one piece 10t
driver and have all new internals. These will be available
in stores by the weekend.

The
always popular monolevers are also back in stock.

We
also have trailmix pedals available in the new white
colour. We have been getting tons of calls for white
pedals and now you have them. These are only available
in loose ball and come with replaceable pins.

Hard
anodized hazard rims are also back in stock in both
36 and 48 hole.

All
these new items will be in stores this weekend so
make sure you go past you local BMX store and check
them out.
