| We
are now backing up all the news each month in an attempt to
keep the news page a little more manageable. If you want to
find out what went down in June and July click on the links
at the bottom of this page...
We
have just got news from our good friend Mat McLeod.
Matt is currently traveling and riding in the UK, and if you
have been reading the news over the last few months you will
know how well he has been doing at all the European comps.
The bad news is that Mat tore all the ligaments in his foot
a few days ago and will be off his bike until he gets back
home. Mat did say that his body does need some time to heal
up, so his hurt foot is something of a blessing in disguise.
He will be returning back to SA in about 8 weeks, and then
he will be making an effort to hit up a bunch of the local
comps happening in SA. In the mean time, here are some pics
of him riding in the UK.

Just
a reminder that Federal Foundation complete bikes will be
arriving in September. If you are looking for a complete
bike at an affordable price then look no further. These bikes
are packed with great features like full 4130 cromolly frames,
forks, and bars. Sealed wheels, European BB's, Federal Traction
tyres, Federal grips, seat stay brakes, 36/13 gearing, as
well as sealed bearing integrated head tubes. These will be
hitting stores towards the end of September, so if you are
looking for a complete bike then make sure you check them
out!

-----------------------------------------------------------------
The
new G-Sport "Marmoset" hubs will be here in a little
while. These are CNC machined from 7075 aluminum,
angled flanges, flange thickness maximized and overhang minimized
for optimum strength. Oversized, Standard off the shelf, sealed
precision cartridge bearing units. Hollow 20mm axle CNC machined.
The axle sits inside the dropouts and is held in place by
standard off-the-shelf bolts. This system results in an axle
that is over twice as strong as a normal solid axle yet weighs
less. Threads are helicoiled to eliminate any chance of stripping.
Using off the shelf bearings and bolts also makes finding
replacement parts very easy.
MARMOSET- Probably the lightest front hub, designed for street.
3/8. 36 hole
270g / 9.5oz (Front).
Look
for these hubs to appear in bike stores towards the end of
september.

get your local store to call us.

We
have just had the new Fly Shipment arrive and there are a
number new items in this lot. First up is the new
Pantera frame. These ones feature a new sticker kit, as well
as a number of limited "Sergio Layos" items. these
include a Etnies sticker pack, a new Fly sticker pack, an
Oakley sticker, and a copy of the new Props issue 54 which
features a Spain and Portugal road trip that Sergio and Ruben
Alcantara went on. All these extras are 100% free and the
price of these frames will be the same as all the others.
There are very limited numbers of these available so if you
are looking for one call your local bike store today!

We also
have fresh stock of Diablo frames. These are only available
in Black with pink sticker kits and come in 21 and 20.6 Top
Tubes. All these frames feature Spanish BB's and Internal
head sets and feature seat stay brake mounts.

The new
Fly soft goods are here. We have zip up hoodys and T-shirts
in 3 different colours. We have also received fresh stock
of KMC premium Drop Buster chains, Inner tubes, and the new
"empire" seat. Yes, this seat is exactly the same
as some other popular models you may have seen on the market,
the difference is that ours retails for under R200.00!!!!
Now you can get the seat you have always wanted at a price
you can afford.

Finally
all our other Fly products are also now in stock. Tyres, hubs,
sprockets, stems, bars, forks, and brakes are all available.
If you have been waiting for any of these items call your
local bike store because all of them should have their fresh
stock any day now.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The
new Odyssey shipment has arrived. We now have a number
of items back in stock as well as a few new ones.
Linear cables are back in stock, as are GTX
gyros, and Hazard light rims. GTX
Gyros are the only gyros that work with integrated head tubes
and are available in black only. The new limited edition
JC yellow pedals are now available and as with all
of the JC colours they are a one off production run, so snap
them up while you can. We also have a few of the revised
Elementary stems in stock. These are the new grey
coloured ones and Odyssey have refined the wedges on these
models. The wedges now feature steel inserts instead of using
the nut that was previously used. This eliminates the problem
of the bolt not reaching on some setups. All these products
are on their way to stores around the country so look for
them to appear in your local bike store in the next few days.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Bike
Stores and riders alike will be pleased to know that we are
adding two much needed products to our range. First
up are the Odyssey G3 upper gyro cables. These are the short
ones so you wont have to deal with all the excess cable flapping
around any more. Most complete bikes are coming out with Gyros
these days so these will be a welcome addition to our line.
We are also now stocking Odyssey GI seat posts. These are
a straight forward cromolly post with nice big alloy guts
to prevent your seat rails from bending. Both these items
will be very affordable, and bike stores will see them added
to our new price list. Riders can expect to see these items
appearing in stores from around September.

posted a bike check with Jim C on their web page and he is
running a number of new prototypes that we thought you might

seat prototype. This is basically a bigger version
of the popular "Junior" seat and looks like it will
be perfect for today's all round Street/park/dirt riders.
He is also running the new Modulever prototype.
Odyssey are refining their Modulevers making them much smaller
and less bulky, so if you run a gyro keep your eyes peeled
for these. lastly he is also running a prototype G-Sport
rim. We don't have much info on these but as with
all G-Sport products you can be sure that it will be a winner!
For a run down of exactly what Jim is running on his bike

Fly
Bike have just released the "Cobra Tube". This
tube allows you to change tubes without having to remove your
wheels. This type of tube has been used in Enduro bikes before
but bicycle companies have been hesitant to adopt it because
of the "bump" that is created where the two ends
meet. Fly bikes however have modified the design and have
managed to eliminate "the bump" that was present
in previous models. Now you never have to hassle with setting
up your chain tension or wheel alignment each time you replace
a tube!!! These tubes should be available by the end of 2005.
